About Us

Welcome to Auntie Olive’s Attic!

Auntie Olive’s Attic opened in 2015 at FarGo Village and is owned by me, Angela ‘Olive’ Tebay.

I love authentic, good quality vintage and have been collecting for a number of years. Around 15 years ago I realised I had that much ‘stuff’ that I should probably start selling some of it to fund my vintage habit! I sold at vintage fairs and within a local emporium until one day, I decided to give up the rat race and live my dream of owning my own vintage shop!

Our vintage clothing is all original, no repro here! It tends to date between to the 50’s – 70’s but the odd later piece can make it to the rails. My eye is drawn to vibrant patterns and classic shapes. All our clothing is ready wear, non of that musty smelling vintage, no thank you!

I love vintage furniture and homeware, not only are you doing the planet a favour by buying vintage, you are adding a piece of history to your home!

Most of the furniture you find at Auntie Olive’s Attic will have been lovingly restored, at the very least everything has a good clean and a wax if needed. All the home-ware will have had a once over and been checked for chips, cracks and nicks.

So get yourself comfy and get perusing, there’s sure to be something that catches your eye!

Often asked...

Do you buy vintage?

Why yes we do! In fact we love buying direct from people. It’s always nice to hear the stories behind a certain dress, a beloved coffee table, your nan’s favourite purse.
During these strange times we are operating private sales slightly different, but please do get in touch for details.

Do you buy fur?

Afraid not. There are lots of issues that come along with furs. Beasties can live inside fur for ages and unless treated properly, can infect other clothing. It’s also a real hard sell, well for me it is. It’s not as popular as it once was, faux furs is much more popular these days and easier to keep.

Can I reserve and try on/collect in store?

Of course! We love to see your beautiful faces. We also appreciate vintage sizing can be a little tricky and although we provide measurements, you might just fancy trying it on first. All our furniture and homewear is available for collection too.

Are vintage sizes smaller?

They sure are! We provide 3 basic measurement, the bust, the waist and the lengths. The bust and waste are taken with the garment laid flat and then doubled. We are happy provide more measurements and photos on request and recommend you measure an item of your own clothing that is similar to ensure best fit.
